At Oro Negro Coffee (“we”, “our”, “us”), we are committed to delivering fresh Colombian specialty coffee with transparency throughout the entire journey — from origin to your door. This Shipping Policy explains how we source, roast, store, and ship our coffee to customers in Canada, the United States, and internationally.
1. From Origin to Cup: Our Coffee Journey
Our coffee is grown in high-altitude regions of Colombia, where it is carefully cultivated, fermented, and roasted in small batches. We work directly with selected coffee growers and partners to source exceptional specialty-grade coffee. Once roasted, our coffee is exported in small, controlled batches to ensure freshness and quality.
Unlike mass-market coffee, our products are not stored for long periods in large warehouses. Whether shipped from local stock in Canada or the United States, or directly from Colombia, our focus is always on freshness, traceability, and quality at every step of the process.
2. Local Stock Shipping (Canada & United States) – B2C
To provide fast delivery for our customers, we maintain a limited, rotating stock of selected coffee varieties and references in Canada and/or the United States. This allows us to fulfill many orders quickly.
Delivery timeframe:
Orders shipped from local stock are typically dispatched and delivered within 1 to 5 business days, depending on the destination and carrier performance.
Important notes:
- Availability may vary by variety and roast profile.
- Delivery times depend on shipping carriers and external factors beyond our control.
- While we work with reliable logistics partners, unforeseen delays may occur due to weather, carrier operations, or local conditions.
3. Direct Shipping from Colombia – B2C
In some cases, certain products or varieties may not be immediately available in our local stock in Canada or the United States. When this happens, your order may be fulfilled directly from Colombia.
Delivery timeframe:
Direct shipments from Colombia typically take 7 to 15 business days, as orders must be processed, exported, cleared through customs, and delivered by international carriers.
Important notes:
- International shipping costs may be higher due to export, customs handling, and long-distance logistics.
- Delivery timelines may be affected by customs clearance, carrier operations, and regulatory processes outside of our control.
- Even when shipped directly from Colombia, our coffee is roasted and packed fresh prior to dispatch.
4. Freshness Commitment
Regardless of the shipping method, Oro Negro Coffee is committed to freshness:
- Our coffee is roasted in small batches
- We avoid long-term storage in large warehouses
- We ship in controlled volumes to maintain product quality
- We prioritize freshness over mass inventory accumulation
This ensures that whether your order is shipped locally or directly from Colombia, you receive coffee that reflects our quality standards and commitment to excellence.
5. Wholesale & B2B Shipping
For wholesale partners, cafés, retailers, and distributors, shipments are typically fulfilled directly from Colombia to the buyer’s shipping address.
Delivery timeframe (B2B):
Wholesale orders are generally dispatched and delivered within 5 to 10 business days from the time the order is confirmed, subject to logistics, customs clearance, and carrier performance.
All wholesale shipments follow the same quality, freshness, and handling standards as our direct-to-consumer orders.
6. Shipping Carriers & Logistics Partners
We work with trusted international and local shipping partners to ensure that our coffee is handled with care and delivered as efficiently as possible. While we select reputable logistics providers to maintain high service standards, delivery timelines may occasionally be impacted by external factors beyond our control.
7. Delays, Customs, and External Factors
Delivery times provided are estimates and may be affected by:
- Customs inspections and clearance procedures
- Shipping carrier delays
- Weather conditions
- Local regulations and transportation disruptions
Oro Negro Coffee is not responsible for delays caused by circumstances outside of our operational control. However, our team will support you in tracking and resolving shipping issues when possible.
8. Shipping Costs and Duties
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on destination, shipping method, and order size. International shipments may be subject to customs duties, taxes, or import fees, which are the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise stated.
