ABOUT OUR COFFEE
We are deeply in love with specialty coffee.
At Oro Negro, coffee is more than a beverage — it’s a craft, a culture, and a journey. Specialty coffee opened the door to a whole new world for us: a world of exceptional farms, meticulous processes, and beans grown with purpose.
We work with carefully selected Colombian Arabica coffees, cultivated at high altitudes above 1,000 meters above sea level, where climate, soil, and tradition come together to create complex, vibrant flavor profiles. Each lot is chosen to express the true character of its origin and variety.
Our coffees come from some of Colombia’s most renowned regions — Eje Cafetero, Cauca, Antioquia, and Santander — and feature outstanding varieties such as Geisha, Pink Bourbon, Castillo, and Colombia.
With strict quality standards and specialty-grade profiles (SCA score 84+), we roast with precision to highlight the unique attributes of every origin and variety, delivering an authentic specialty coffee experience from the mountains of Colombia to your cup.
High-Altitude Origins
Our coffees are grown in mountainous regions above 1,000 MASL, where slower maturation enhances sweetness, acidity, and complexity. Altitude is the foundation of our coffee’s distinctive character.
Hand-Selected Harvest
Only the best cherries are chosen. Each coffee is hand-picked and carefully selected to ensure only ripe, high-quality fruit makes it into our process, guaranteeing clean and expressive cups.
Precision Roasting
We roast with intention. Our profiles are developed to respect each origin and variety, bringing out floral, fruity, and sweet notes without masking the natural identity of the bean.
From Farm to Your Cup
From Colombian farms to your table, we oversee every step of the journey. Carefully handled, freshly roasted, and thoughtfully packaged — so you can experience specialty coffee the way it was meant to be enjoyed.

ORIGINS
The Diversity of Colombian Coffee.
Colombia’s unique geography allows each coffee-growing region to develop its own identity. From volcanic soils and high-altitude mountains to diverse microclimates, every origin contributes a distinctive expression to the cup. At Oro Negro, we work with carefully selected coffees from four emblematic regions, each offering a different perspective of Colombian specialty coffee.
Eje Cafetero
The Eje Cafetero is the heart of Colombia’s coffee tradition and one of the most iconic coffee landscapes in the world. Its rolling mountains, fertile soils, and balanced climate produce coffees known for their harmony and approachability. Expect well-rounded cups with comforting sweetness, smooth acidity, and classic notes that often range from caramel and chocolate to gentle citrus and soft fruit nuances.
Cauca
High-altitude farms and dramatic temperature shifts define the coffees of Cauca. These conditions allow beans to mature slowly, resulting in vibrant, expressive profiles with bright acidity and floral or fruity complexity. Coffees from Cauca often deliver elegant aromatics, juicy fruit notes, and a refined structure that appeals to those seeking a more dynamic and lively cup.
Antioquia
Antioquia’s diverse landscapes and long-standing coffee culture produce clean, sweet, and consistently balanced coffees. The region is known for its reliable quality and approachable profiles, offering cups with soft acidity, rounded body, and flavors that may include chocolate, nuts, and subtle citrus undertones. These coffees reflect tradition, precision, and everyday excellence.
Santander
Santander offers a distinctive expression within Colombia’s coffee map. Its warmer climates and unique terroir contribute to coffees with bolder body and deeper character. Profiles from this region often present pronounced sweetness, herbal or spicy nuances, and a rich mouthfeel, creating a cup that stands out for its personality and sense of origin.
